Sr. Accounting Manager

On behalf of one of our clients, we are currently searching for an experienced Accounting manager.

You will be responsible for leading a team of over 20 finance staff within the SSC and for managing a wide scope of accounting activities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounting team within the SSC by ensuring that 25 members are effectively managed, motivated, and mentored.

  • Oversee the collaboration with third-party statutory accountants to align with the company’s accounting standards.

  • Ensure the month-end closing process, including reconciliations and journal entries, is conducted with precision for accurate financial reporting across the company’s legal entities and business units.

  • Prepare financial reports for management review, facilitate audit processes for both internal and external auditors, and compile necessary government reports.

  • Contribute to strategic transformation projects within the EMEA region, aiming for operational excellence.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving business processes.

  • Maintain communication with various stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and maintain operational continuity.

  • Administer staff recruitment, training, development, and performance assessments to uphold high standards of professional excellence.

  • Fulfil additional responsibilities as required by the management of the company.


  • Certified accountant (ACCA, Chartered Accountant, or an equivalent credential) boasting over a decade of significant experience.

  • Profound understanding and knowledge of US GAAP, statutory and technical accounting, accounting principles, and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in SAP is essential.

  • Skilled in managing personnel.

  • Background in the consumer goods or manufacturing sector.

  • Competent in effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders within a matrix organization.

  • Skilled in forging robust connections with a variety of staff members across an international corporation.

  • Capable of autonomous work.

  • Skilled in investigating complex issues and devising strategic solutions.

  • Outstanding organizational abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and a focus on achieving results.

  • Adaptable and proactive, and experienced within an evolving corporate landscape.
