Our client is a technology platform for venues and event owners to take control of their ticketing experience, giving them tools they need to keep their venues full and their fans happy.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with Python and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.
Objectives & Responsibilities of this role:
● Building, implementing, optimizing and managing cloud infrastructure and development tools as code
● Working on ways to maintain and improve automations in development and release processes
● Test, measure, analyzing examining reliability and performance of systems
● Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
● Identifying technical problems and develop their fixes
● Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
● Heavily leveraged automations for error detection, system recovery and infrastructure changes
● Provide Level 2 technical support
● Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
● Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
● Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
Required skills and qualifications:
● Experience and proficiency with following technologies: ○ AWS: EKS, RDS, VPC, S3, Redshift, MSK, Elasticache, etc. ○ Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, Cloudflare, Gitlab CI/CD ○ Datadog: Metrics/Logging/APM/RUM
● Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
● Familiarity with DORA or equivalent approach targeting Delivery Speed, Latency, Errors and Saturation
● Proficiency with Git / GitHub / GitLab workflows
● Ability to read and script well in Python
● Working knowledge of databases and SQL
● Problem-solving attitude

● Working experience with AWS Aurora Serverless and adjacent highly scalable solutions
● Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
● Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company
