We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller for our client, a worldwide leader in its field.

What are the responsibilities?
- Managing the Statutory P&L and Balance Sheet for all assigned regions
- Responsibility for the delivery of the month-end close in accordance with local & US GAAP/IFRS standards
- Ensuring financial controls and processes are in place, striving to improve the control environment and move towards best practice
- Supporting the Head of Controlling to develop and maintain best practice accounting function through the standardization of processes
- Responsibility for Statutory Accounts and audits relative to the assigned regions
- Preparation of the Reporting Pack
- Support revenue assurance, through reconciliation process
- Prepare variance analysis of Balance Sheet items
- Provide effective and efficient people management and mentoring
- Ensure staff have the appropriate level of responsibility, training, and resources to perform their job effectively and achieve agreed goals
- Stay updated with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and to mitigate Financial, Operational, Anti-bribery, Fraud and Reputational risks
What do we need from you?
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience obtained within an accounting firm or in a large organization
- 3+ years of experience leading accounting staff in a highly complex and high-volume business
- Demonstrated experience in working with auditors and preparation of Statutory Financial Reports
- Highly competent in accounting
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good in English (written and verbal)
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Flexible, quick learner, positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in process standardization and improvement
- A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
