SAP Business Consultant MDG
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the SAP MDG Business Application system, essential for facilitating Master Data Governance for Material Master and Custom Master Data (UDI) processes within the company. SAP serves as the primary ERP system, complemented by various legacy applications that form the basis for executing critical business operations.
Your key responsibilities in Application Management will encompass project management, change management, support, and training.
Master Data Governance Management:
- Offer expertise in SAP MDG (Material Master/Custom Data for Regulatory, UDI for FDA and Eudamed) and its integration with other SAP systems/modules and legacy systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert for MDG processes.
- Collaborate closely with business functions to strategize, prioritize, implement, and provide regular progress reports.
- Identify, analyze, and suggest areas for process and solution improvement.
- Support both business and IT members in transferring knowledge of implemented functionality.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of knowledge and implemented functionality.
- Coordinate with the PLM/PP team lead on solution design and implementation, providing regular status updates and aligning priorities and capacity.
Project Management:
- Oversee full lifecycle implementation projects or subprojects, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, scope, and quality.
- Apply project methodology and uphold quality standards.
- Manage external resources within the project.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a university degree or equivalent diploma.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP configuration and implementation in SAP MDG and related Cross Application Management Integration modules.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and experience in a multicultural global IT environment.
- Be adaptable to dynamic environments and open to new challenges.
- Demonstrate deep technical IT knowledge of supported business applications and process flows.
- Be fluent in English (German proficiency is a plus).
Critical Skills and Technical Know-How:
- Showcase in-depth technical expertise in the SAP MDG module, covering Material Master Data, Custom Data Model UDI, Change request handling, Data Replication Framework, WebUI, BRF+, Workflow Management, SMT Mapping.
- Possess excellent knowledge of core processes and best practices in the MDG field.
- Display strong knowledge of interfaces between SAP MDG and other external applications.
- Have a solid grasp of ABAP language and programs for reading and writing (BADI/BAPI, user-exits).
- Exhibit good knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (PLM/CA).
- Be well-versed in data upload using LSMW, BDCs, and upload programs.
Critical Experience:
- Demonstrate a proven track record of system configuration and SAP MDG implementation.
- Show previous experience in supporting the SAP PLM and CA modules.
