On behalf of our client, who is an electronics key player in the world of audio-visual digital entertainment, we are seeking a Business Controller for Europe. Business Controller Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Provide clear, timely, and accurate performance reports to sales, F&A management, and budget holders, focusing on revenue, sales deductions, and margin
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct proactive analyses of country P&Ls against trends, budgets, and forecasts
  • Cost Management: Ensure visibility of country level cost structures and their impacts, drive decisions to improve cost structure
  • Forecasting: Manage long-term and short-term country P&L forecasts
  • Controlling Sales Deductions and Provisions
  • Approving Business Conditions: Approve sales contract conditions, customer commitments, and vendor PR/Pos
  • Business Decision Support: Provide financial analysis and advice to support business decisions and manage risks
  • Budget Planning: Ensure effective country budget planning with a focus on OFSE. Prepare reports and highlight areas for improvement
  • Strategic Implementation: Translate strategic business decisions into financial results and communicate with relevant parties
  • Process Improvement: Focus on improving processes, automation, and scalability
  • Audit and Compliance: Manage audit requirements for revenue to margin analytics, support audits and tax matters, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist European F&A leadership with ad hoc projects

What are we expecting from you

  • 3-5 years of experience in related roles from multinational consumer product industry
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance or any other relevant field
  • Perfect knowledge of Microsoft Excel, skills in Excel Power tools are advantage
  • Fluency in English, German is preferred, any other language is a plus
  • IFRS knowledge (IFRS 15 is a strong advantage)
  • SAT knowledge (or any other related accounting program)
  • Strong finance background (Pay now, finance data, reporting, accounting knowledge)
  • SQL is advantageous
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability (the role requires the ability to adjust to changing environment)
