Job description:

On behalf of a well-known international company specialised in visual digital entertainment, we are currently looking for an Accounting and Compliance Controller to join their growing team in Prague.

The company has about 150 employees, out of which 50% of them are expats mainly from Europe. If you speak fluently English, if you have an excellent understanding and knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and have experience as a controller, auditor or similar, then definitely keep reading. Your main role will be to map accounting process in different departments across Europe, check compliance, prepare internal and external audits and work on process improvements.

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with auditors for C-SOX compliance and financial audits.
  • Providing accounting support during major transactions.
  • Preparing and reviewing internal and external financial reports.
  • Owning IFRS training.
  • Enhancing internal controls (transparency and process improvements)
  • Managing risk and control matrices.
  • Identifying risks in key business processes and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance internal controls.
  • Developing annual priorities and projects for control enhancement.
  • Standardizing processes and building relationships.
  • Assisting the Europe CFO with ad hoc projects.

Your profile:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in External Audit (fin. and acc.)
  • Certification: ACCA, FCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
  • Experience from BIG 4 (or similar) preferred
  • Understand accounting principles (IFRS)
  • Act as a consultant/Project leader
  • Process-oriented
  • Fluent in English
