  • On behalf of a well-established international retail brand with a strong presence across Central Europe, we’re looking for a Customer Strategy Lead to lead the customer strategy for Slovakia
  • Your leadership will span the full marketing lifecycle and will involve close collaboration with teams in Czech Republic and Hungary within a dynamic, matrix-driven environment that balances local relevance with regional alignment.

As Customer Strategy Lead, you will lead a team of approximately 30 professionals across three core areas: Customer Proposition & Local Offer Planning, Customer Insight, Brand Communication & Execution.

You will be responsible for:

  • Defining and leading the marketing strategy
  • Balancing long-term strategy (2–3 years ahead) with delivery of today’s plans
  • Making strategic decisions on team development and leveraging internal/external capabilities
  • Owning and managing resources, including Capex budgets, to reflect evolving priorities
  • Resolving complex challenges, using insight to conceptualize future solutions in ambiguous situations
  • Collaborating across functions and borders, influencing internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and government bodies
  • Championing innovation and change, driving continuous improvement for customers, colleagues, and communities
  • Delivering measurable business impact, through both team leadership and individual contribution
  • Partnering with Product, Channels, and Customer teams to deliver a seamless customer offer
  • Leading digital and tech evolution, enabling a customer-led strategy and frictionless experience
  • Forecasting and managing budgets with a cost-conscious mindset
  • Inspiring and developing your team, fostering a culture of creativity, ownership, and excellence

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a matrix driven corporate environment, with a proven ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong track record in retail or FMCG is essential and must be reflected in recent or past roles
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, challenge, and grow a high-performing team
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (Fluent business English C1+ and native level of Slovak or Czech), with the confidence to advocate for the Slovak market
  • Strong commercial and strategic business acumen, with a focus on delivering customer impact
  • Ability to navigate regional vs. local priorities, balancing group guidelines with market-specific needs
  • Awareness of digital commerce and multi-channel environments, and how they drive competitive advantage
  • Deep customer understanding and empathy, translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Experience across CZ and HU markets is a plus
