Our client was founded by four former Formula 1 engineers who leveraged their experience at McLaren to build a platform that brings the power of real-time data stream processing to a broader audience. Recognizing the critical role of streaming data in high-performance environments, they created a solution to empower developers and data scientists across industries.

Now, they are looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) to help customers revolutionize how they manage and analyze test data. In this role, you'll work closely with engineering teams to integrate test environments, design data flows, architect data lakes, and build custom software solutions tailored to unique measurement and configuration challenges.

You’ll join a team of engineers who thrive on solving complex problems quickly and collaboratively—trusted by top-tier organizations, including multiple F1 teams, to handle massive volumes of test data with speed and precision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating directly with engineering teams to connect their test, measurement, and metadata systems to our client’s platform.
  • Designing and implementing tailored data ingestion pipelines, schemas, and configurations for diverse customer environments.
  • Solving challenges related to scaling, storing, and processing large volumes of time-series data using modern big data technologies.
  • Applying AI tools and techniques to accelerate development and deliver smarter, more efficient solutions.
  • Building custom applications, dashboards, and integrations to address specific use cases on top of the platform.
  • Extending the open-source stream processing framework to meet unique customer requirements and contribute to the ongoing roadmap.
  • Rapidly prototyping and deploying working solutions in fast-paced, high-performance environments.

What Will Make You a Great Fit:

  • You’re a polyglot engineer who enjoys working across diverse technologies, languages, and environments—and you’re quick to pick up new tools.
  • You have strong hands-on experience with Python, and exposure to other languages such as JavaScript, C#, or similar.
  • You’ve built and operated data pipelines in real-world scenarios.
  • You actively incorporate AI tools into your development workflow to boost efficiency and innovation.
  • You’re excited to work primarily on-site at our client’s Prague 6 office, with the flexibility to work from home when needed.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively in English.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in industrial, automotive, aerospace, or motorsport test environments.
  • Knowledge of modern big data technologies such as Kafka, BigQuery, S3, DuckDB, or Iceberg, and how they integrate into production systems.
  • Experience working with Docker.
  • Understanding of test data management, measurement systems, or DAQ workflows.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.

What They Offer:

  • A modern office in Prague 6, with flexible work-from-home options
  • Regular team meet-ups and offsites in exciting EU destinations
  • 37 days of holiday annually (including public holidays)
  • 2 additional volunteering days each year to support causes you care about
  • Generous stock options to share in the company’s success
  • A personal hardware budget so you can choose the tools that work best for you
  • A dedicated training and personal development budget to help you grow
