On behalf of our client, a well-established American company with a diverse portfolio of brands, we are seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant with French. This role requires proficiency in French and a solid understanding of French GAAP. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the position involves active participation in projects and supporting the integration of new processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
  • Review balance sheet and P&L accounts for trends, errors, or omissions
  • Assist with reconciliations in Blackline and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Analyze financial movements and customer program subledgers with business finance
  • Ensure accurate reporting of expenses and accruals in collaboration with GL and other teams
  • Advise stakeholders using accounting expertises
  • Lead and support ad-hoc projects, integrations, and initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation gathering

Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in accounting within an international company
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Knowledge of all GL processes with a particular focus on the balance sheet and P&L with variance analysis
  • Proactive, innovative, results oriented
  • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge of French GAAP
