On behalf of our client, a well-established American company with a diverse portfolio of brands, we are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join the team responsible for entities across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries (accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, bank fees, etc.)
- Manage and record General Ledger transactions, including payroll and taxes
- Perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
- Ensure account accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Maintain and reconcile Customer program subledgers; review P&L and Balance Sheet movements
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
- Collaborate across departments for accurate reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Identify process improvements and support ad-hoc projects
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff
Skills:
- At least 2 years of accounting experience in an international environment
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
