The IT System/Platform Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, databases, and virtual environments. The role ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT systems, provides technical support, and collaborates on IT projects to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage IT infrastructure, including development, testing, and automation tools.
  • Configure internal tools and required infrastructure.
  • Define and maintain processes for development, testing, release, and support in line with DevOps practices.
  • Deploy and manage CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Operate IT observability tools for monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Manage SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Implement backup and recovery processes, including disaster recovery planning.
  • Participate in ICT project planning and delivery.
  • Provide L2 technical support to internal customers.
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the IT team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.
  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Zabbix).
  • Experience with backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Velero).
  • Ability to script in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Database configuration and management (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Ideally Czech and English languages
