For our client, we’re looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to take full ownership of diverse GL responsibilities, collaborate with international finance teams, and lead initiatives in automation and standardization. Your Impact

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of GL accounting
  • Oversee daily GL operations, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Act as the primary liaison for GL matters with international branches
  • Lead the preparation of statutory, group, and audit reporting packages
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and manage fixed asset accounting
  • Review and support VAT returns and other tax-related filings
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants
  • Drive and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Identify and implement scalable improvements to accounting processes
  • Support ERP system enhancements and financial automation initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, tax, procurement, and operations teams

What You Bring to the Table

  • Min. 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, ideally within an international or high-growth environment
  • Deep understanding of Czech accounting and tax regulations; exposure to IFRS or other GAAPs is a strong advantage
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems
  • Fluent English with the ability to navigate Czech in a business/accounting context
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for solving problems and driving improvements
  • Experience in process optimization, automation, or ERP/system implementations is a plus
