Global Commodity Manager

Job description

Do you have several years of experience as a commodity buyer and want to move on? Do you want to work for a stable company that is minimally affected by the current situation because it has contracts in advance?

Then come and cover the commodity within the foreign sites and thus communicate with the respective strategic buyers in different foreign locations, approve new suppliers, manage and evaluate existing ones, create and develop commodity strategy and other interesting projects.

 

Your tasks:

  • Responsibility for assigned commodities (metal parts, fasteners, adhesives, sealants, etc.) primarily within Europe, exceptionally USA/India.
  • Setting purchasing strategy according to market analysis
  • Supporting the strategic buying team and ensuring strategy execution
  • Continuous drive to improve commodities and needs
  • Contributing to the sustainable development of the company
  • Evaluating existing suppliers
  • Approving new suppliers
  • Cost optimization projects
  • Also communication with quality department, cost engineers etc.

 

What you have done and can do:

  • You have worked in commodity purchasing for several years - ideally at a global level
  • You have a technical background - experience from manufacturing companies or university of engineering, etc.
  • Fluent English on a very good level
  • You are not afraid to take initiative and are able to work independently
