Head of financial controlling

Job description

General information:

On behalf of our client which supports any companies owning a fleet of vehicles thanks to their special product, we are currently looking for a Head of Financial Controlling who will lead a team of controllers and be responsible for the full financial controlling activities across several entities in the European region.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead Month-End Closing: Coordinate month-end closing within the region, aligning with local teams and the Financial Services team.
  • Prepare Reporting: Create the Reporting for group HQ, aligning with reporting policies and deadlines.
  • Ensure Figure Reliability: Verify the reliability of internally and externally communicated figures.
  • Handle Accruals and Estimates: Prepare and account for accruals and accounting estimates.
  • Oversee Legal Entity P&L: Ensure statutory P&L preparation aligns with Tax regulations.
  • Manage Master Data: Handle the setup and maintenance of financial Master data.
  • Cooperate with FP&A Teams: Assist in preparing the annual OPEX/CAPEX Budget.
  • Assist in Audit Activities: Collaborate on annual external Audit activities and SOX compliance.
  • Manage Financial Controllers: Oversee Financial Controllers for each Business Unit.


Your profile:

  • University degree in Finance/accounting/economics (ACCA is a plus)
  • Min. 3 years of similar experience
  • Good knowledge of Accounting principles, US GAAP, SOX controls and Balance Sheet
  • People management experience and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure and quickly adapt to changes
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Good listening and organizational skills
  • Advanced English and Czech language as a big advantage
