Reed is searching for an AP Manager, who´s going to lead a smaller team of AP Accountants in our client´s finance team. Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate records regarding payments to suppliers, processing payments from clients
- Manages and supervises the accounts payable department and staff in the organization, learning how to organize, multitask and manage time
- Learn on the job regarding the best practices in accounting
- Manages functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and project accounting
- Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness
- Strengthen controls and compliance surrounding the Accounts Payable processes via improved internal control and reconciliation processes as well as detailed account balance reviews
- Develop and enhance methodologies and procedures for process management in line with best practice in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Ensures that the accounts payable and the company’s financial obligations are met efficiently.
- Oversees all tax-related processes
- Keep track of the company’s financial expenditures, maintain a database and provide reports as and when requested by supervisors
- Oversee all payment transactions, keeps track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors
- Will be in charge of data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices like general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements
- Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company
- Training staff members
To succeed as an accounts payable manager, you should be focused on optimizing department processes and building a lasting relationship with others within and outside of the business. You should be knowledgeable, analytical, and decisive with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field
- Fluent in Czech and English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and bookkeeping software
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze information and processes
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
