Our client is looking for a highly experienced senior developer/tech lead to join the EFS Direct technology team. As part of Markets Execution Technology the role is primarily focused on Front Office but works with Middle Office, Legal, Compliance and other associated functions as well. Both the business and IT team have an excellent delivery track record, and the mandate of the role is to work on both revenue generating and regulatory projects in addition to improving the existing system. This role will require a growth mindset and ability to train/mentor junior members.

What will you be doing?
• The role is 100% hands-on with 80% development and 20% support
• Develop high quality maintainable code
• Make technical decisions that require a strong understanding of the problem domain
• Collaborate and communicate globally with other developers to build technical solutions
• Have a strong knowledge of software development methods, tools and standards and actively keep this knowledge current (i.e. desire to learn)
• Provide technical leadership, knowledge sharing and mentoring to junior members of the team

What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience developing medium to large size HTML5 application covering: TypeScript and JavaScript, Angular2+, RxJS, Redux (ngRx) &Node
• Experience developing application in Core Java for general server side development
• Proven Agile experience (preferably Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience writing Oracle PL/SQL code

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of HTTP protocol and web services 
• Experience providing support and resolving production issues
• Experience building systems in trading, banking and/ or financial organization
• Experience building internet/client facing secure portals and APIs
