I am working with my client in the recruitment of a Permanent Full time  Payroll Team Leader. A modern working environment and superb opportunities are on offer. Please find an overview of the role and responsibilities below for your consideration. 

- Supervising Payroll team 
- Manage and oversee the processing of the payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Running regular audit reports and reconciliations
- Plan, manage and co-ordinate activities of payroll team, managing performance &           development
- Manage payroll workflows,  issuing payroll schedules and deadlines as appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service
- Review and improve payroll policies and procedures
- Ensuring all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory
- Supporting internal and external audits relating to payroll
- Undertake the month end payroll processing from gross to net including running and        checking audit reports
- Liaising with other teams to resolve any errors
- Submission of data to HMRC via RTI.

I am seeking a candidate with a strong Payroll pedigree, team supervisory experience is preferred however if you have a solid background in end to end Payroll I am interested to hear from you. Other attributes required are:

A solid background in a payroll environment.
Able to understand and action manual calculations and have a good knowledge of the whole payroll process including reconciliations and payments to third parties.
Experience of supporting a Manager, leading/coaching a team and being able to deal with a range of queries of a pay related nature.
Must be proactive and flexible with good customer service and communication skills.
Able to identify and support changes to processes and improvements.
Able to support requests from the Pension Scheme Administrators for pension forecasting and provide support to the Payroll Manager in managing any issues with the Pension provider.
