General Manager- 12 week contract

Available Monday- Sunday (You will need to be flexible)

Location: London (4 days a week on 1 site but required to travel across sites)

Your new role

To support the Divisional Director and Divisional Manager in developing and delivering high quality, patient / service user focused and cost effective pathways and services meeting the requirements of our commissioners and the urgent and Emergency Improvement plan.

Your new responsibilities

• To support the Divisional Manager, Divisional Director, Service Leads and divisional clinical staff in the planning, development, provision and review of, patient focused and cost-effective integrated pathways and services.
• Responsible for ensuring that the Service Management team identify and focus on the Service’s most critical delivery areas.
• To support & lead on the development and implementation of the Integrated System Improvement Plan
• Respond to urgent or serious patient complaints ensuring immediate risk management, and where possible defusing complaints by satisfying the complainant with the actions taken.
• To provide assurance that the agreed financial activity and other performance targets for the division will be delivered. Escalate immediately any concerns pertaining to non-delivery to the Divisional Manager.
• Have responsibility for securing the necessary resources and facilities to deliver the Business Plan to support high quality, cost effective service delivery.
• Set up effective arrangements for monitoring performance regularly with your Service Managers, identifying areas for improvement and action.
• Ensure effective arrangements are in place for clinical incident reporting and clinical risk management.

What you need to succeed

• Post graduate training in Business or NHS Management
• Educated to Master’s degree or equivalent experience at senior management level
• Significant operational management experience in an acute NHS Trust or community service, including senior level experience.
• Staff management, including senior level experience
• Budget management experience
• Management of change
• Use of IT applications to run management reports
