Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a reputable and well-established business within the service industry in Belfast, and have a permanent opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their team.

This is a full time permanent role and a brilliant opportunity to form a career and progress.

The Role:

Reporting to the Company Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the core functions of the finance team. The primary role is the preparation and reporting of accurate and timely management accounts and the supervision of the work of a small team.

More specific duties will involve:

To provide accurate, timely and informative financial information to the Directors
To Manage and mentor the finance team
Timely and accurate preparation of Management Accounts for 2 companies in the group
Cash flow management, including invoice financing
Management of financial processes, recommending and implementing improvements
Management and preparation of Sales invoicing and credit control
Management of payroll including the supervision of the weekly and monthly payroll
Management of weekly creditors payments and review of monthly supplier statement reconciliations
Management of and mentoring the finance team ensuring the smooth running of the finance function
To be responsible, for maintaining all mechanisms of financial control, and ensuring adherence to the financial policies and procedures

Essential Criteria:

The ideal candidate should be able to meet or exceed the following:-

Minimum of 3 years experience working in a finance function
Qualified Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant
Previous experience managing cash-flow / cash-flow projections
Possess working knowledge of an accounting software package (preferably Sage software)
Experience in producing monthly management accounts
Experience processing payroll with a working knowledge of PAYE and VAT
Have the ability to work using initiative while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Have the ability to work to strict dead-lines, prioritising and planning workload
Proficient in the use of MS skills including an advanced working knowledge of Excel
Experience of people management would be an advantage as well as experience implementing and managing policies and procedures
