Main Responsibilities
- Preparation and timely submission of the indirect tax compliance obligations (VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and Intrastat declarations and other ad hoc reporting requirements) for EU and non-EU entities
- Reconciliation of VAT GL accounts
- Supporting Group Indirect Tax Manager in ensuring compliance and maintenance of indirect tax processes and documentation
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including professional advisers on indirect tax matters
- Monitoring of VAT payments and VAT refunds including claims for refund of foreign VAT
- Assist in responding to queries from tax authorities and other parties and the support of finance teams during VAT audits
- Being proactive where issues arise and ensuring prompt action is taken and preventive measures are put in place
Qualifications and skills
- Relevant accounting/finance/tax qualification – ACCA/ACA or any other related qualification
- A minimum of 12 months indirect tax compliance work experience
- Experience of ERP systems especially Microsoft AX Dynamics would be beneficial but not essential
- Proficient in MS office applications especially Excel
- Can communicate in English (verbal and written) at a professional level with knowledge of anther European language being a plus
- Ability to work to work to tight deadlines with accurate and quality output
