Day-to-day of the role:

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build strong, long-term business relationships with assigned customers, ensuring our client is their preferred supplier.
    • Engage proactively with key contacts across purchasing, engineering, quality, operations, and management to expand customer touchpoints.
    • Conduct Annual Business Reviews to keep pricing, product specifications, and quality requirements up to date.
  • Order & Inquiry Management:

    • Resolve order discrepancies quickly and professionally to ensure smooth order processing.
    • Qualify incoming inquiries and determine the best course of action to secure business and strengthen customer relationships.
    • Prepare quotes and proposal packages for catalog and production standard products.
    • Escalate inquiries appropriately to other team members when necessary.
  • Sales Growth & Opportunity Development:

    • Continuously assess customer accounts for additional opportunities and refer high-potential accounts to the appropriate sales associate.
    • Execute a structured Annual Sales Call Plan to maintain active communication and secure repeat business.
    • Proactively contact smaller customers, ensuring timely reorders and uninterrupted supply.
    • Complete accurate annual demand forecasts and maintain relevant databases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales of technical solutions, ideally fasteners, or other related products.
  • Experience in a Distribution environment is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years in sales or business development.
  • Proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Fluent in Czech/Slovak and English.
