Lead implementation of projects in-house and on-site (including internationally)
Ensure the project is compliant with appropriate directives, such as ISO9000, EC Machinery Directive and Health Safety requirements
Monitor project progress, resolve any issues that arise and coordinate team activities to maintain approved schedule, reporting progress to management.
Work out calibration requirements to ensure performance compliance. Carry out in house calibration/testing and issue the calibration certification.
Collect necessary data from customer or check site information in advance to guarantee a smooth installation and a smooth operation.
Developing and following up on a complete and detailed installation plans
Being the technical Single Point of Control/Contact / Project Leader for client (on site)
Fault finding on systems as required.
Drawing up method statements and risk assessment before site work
Drawing up and managing manuals, standard procedures and progress report
Liaise with the customer from beginning of projects to clarify requirements and training customers to effectively use the equipment after installation.
Provide customer support as required, both on-site and remotely
Assisting and project manager in project preparation and handling technical issues during execution
Pointing out risks with regard to safety, the environment or health
Participate in design review and project close-out review.
Must be willing to travel internationally from time to time.
3 Years minimum working with hydraulics in manufacturing industry of low volume high value systems
HND or degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
Ideally hydraulic qualification

Overall, my client is ideally looking for someone who is a cross between a field service engineer and a test technician.
You need to have a hydraulic control background, are prepared to travel both to national and international customers and be comfortable customer facing whilst performing the installation.
You must have a good degree of understanding of the fundamentals of hydraulics and experience of project managing on-site installations.
Experience is of greater significance than qualifications.
Salary £36,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending upon skills and experience.
Hours 40 hours a week
Times 8am till 4.30pm
