Compliance and Statutory Accounting Specialist (part-time, 20 hrs per week – hybrid work) - DPČ

An international dedicated company in the world of visual digital entertainment is looking for a support in financial and compliance team. There you will be supportive in accounting and reporting, inclusive ad-hoc tasks of compliance team. Reporting to the Statutory Accounts Compliance Manager in Prague and Poland.

As part of this dynamic team, you will support the Compliance Department to ensure compliance and local country statutory accounting requirements for Europe entities; co-ordinate information and data gathering with the shared service centres; communicating with local and central external advisors.

There is necessary to understand of the professional area and to handle mostly standard financial situations; adapt according to the circumstances, implement new processes and procedures; mostly standard Finance and Accounting topics: reporting & analysis; implementation of Finance policy in an operational manner; financial compliance and controls.

Your responsibilities would be:

  • Support in preparing the local statutory accounts filings in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Helping on solving accounting issue resolutions related to European entities/branches statutory accounts.
  • Cooperate to improve local Internal Control Framework as the foundation for high-quality reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare appropriate audit documentation for internal and external audit branch books and statutory accounts, as well as take part in ad hoc projects.
  • Communication with finance teams, sales and marketing, HR, IT and supply chain as well as supporting communication with external parties
  • Support in ensuring that business adheres to the company code of conduct and complies with local legal laws.

We require the following experience and skills from you:

  • Bachelor level education in accounting/finance or has reached this level through another form of training or experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principals, ability and willingness to learn; previous working experience welcome.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Another European language is advantage.
  • Advanced in Excel (v-look up, pivot table, advanced functions) appreciated, SAP knowledge is welcome but we can teach.
  • Eye for detail, punctuality, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication, positive thinking, sense for team work, common sense.
  • Open minded; Solutions and results oriented. Problem solving.

Location: Prague 7 (Holešovice)

Start date: immediately / upon agreement

Part-time 0,5 employment contract for an indefinite period (20 hours per week; 4 hours per day).

Remuneration: 180 - 230 CZK/ h., compensation based on hours worked depending on experience.
